AMTI’s new Optima Special Purpose Series of glass top force plates
AMTI
AMTI have launched the latest addition to the Optima force plate range – the Optima Special Purpose Series of glass-top force plates which allows activities on the top surface of the force plate to be viewed and recorded from the underside. View product page here.
AMTI have set the industry standard for force plate technology as the first manufacturer to meet ASTM’s “Standard Test Method for Verification of Multi-Axis Force Measuring Platforms”, with their patented Optima line of force plates.
The new Optima-SPS joins the growing selection of Optima force plates available, including the state-of-the-art Optima High Performance System, the Optima Bio-Measurement System, and the Optima Medical Measurement System which is the only medical force plate on the EU market and is a certified Class 1m Medical Device.
AMTI verifies the accuracy of every Optima system through a proprietary Precision Calibration, which takes up to 4000 measurements throughout the plate’s entire rated capacity. No other force platform in the market undergoes such a rigorous accuracy testing process, which uses a high-density calibration grid that covers the entire platform surface. It then uses fully documented NIST-traceable standards to confirm its accuracy.
The Optima-SPS comes in two models: the SPS464508-GT and the SPS600900-GT.
The SPS464508-GT force plate features a viewing aperture of a 464mm x 508mm platform area on a 24mm thick glass top.
The SPS600900-GT force plate features an extreme viewing aperture of a 600mm x 900mm platform area on a 38 mm thick glass top.
Key performance features include:
- Average COP accuracy of just a fraction of a millimeter (typicaly less than 0.5 mm.)
- Crosstalk values typically ±0.2% of applied load
- Measurement accuracy ±0.5% of applied load
