Our partners AMTI and Motek will be attending ISPGR 2019, the world congress of the International Society of Posture and Gait Research. Hosted in Edinburgh from June 30th – July 4th, the event will bring together the posture and gait research community for a program packed with informative sessions, interesting discussions and the latest research in the field.

Exhibitions and workshops

You can find our partner AMTI in the exhibition area, where they will be available to talk to you about their world-leading force plates, instrumented treadmills, force/torque sensors, and simulation/wear testing machines. AMTI’s systems are used by major orthopaedic manufacturers, testing laboratories, universities and research hospitals worldwide in areas such as biomechanics, balance and gait analysis, sports and ergonomics. They have set the industry standard for force plate technology as the first manufacturer to meet the new ASTM F3109-16 accuracy standard, which guarantees the highest level of force measuring precision. Read more.

Our partner Motek will be leading a pre-congress workshop on Sunday 30th June from 12:30 – 3:30pm, entitled: “Advanced rehabilitation technology to boost your research“. The workshop will outline the state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology available today for gait and balance research. The session will focus on real-time visual feedback, gait adaptability and gait perturbations using an instrumented dual-belt treadmill, motion capture and other technology in combination with an application development framework to create custom research applications. Motek will interactively demonstrate several research applications using virtual reality technologies and motion capture, and invite you to discuss how we can use technology to better understand human balance and locomotion. You can read more about this workshop in the ISPGR 2019 program.
