Leading rehabilitation and biomechanics supplier Summit Medical and Scientific becomes UK sales partner for Danish technology developer Life Science Robotics.
Summit Medical and Scientific, the UK’s award-winning supplier of state-of-the-art rehabilitation and biomechanics systems, are proud to announce a new partnership with Life Science Robotics.
Life Science Robotics are a Danish company developing innovative rehabilitation technology for the healthcare sector. Their aim is to provide innovative robotic solutions which enhance patient care, optimise work conditions, and help clinics provide relief to their workforce.
Life Science Robotics are specialists in rehabilitation robotics, developing ROBERT® – the only rehabilitation solution capable of training both the upper and lower limbs.
Introducing the ROBERT®
The ROBERT® is a portable solution which offers both active resistive and assistive mobilisation for the upper and lower limb, providing patients and healthcare professionals with better conditions for rehabilitation. Its unique 7 degrees of freedom allows therapists to first define the movement, including Activities of Daily Living or Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation. The ROBERT® then carries out the intensive therapy for upper and lower extremities either in-bed or seated.
As Life Science Robotics‘ sales partner in the UK, Summit Medical and Scientific are pleased to offer the ROBERT® as part of our Clinical Solutions.
State-of-the-art upper and lower limb mobilisation
Sara Brammall, Managing Director of Summit Medical and Scientific, said:
“We are proud to partner with Life Science Robotics and offer their revolutionary mobilisation robot, ROBERT®, to the UK clinical market. We pride ourselves on partnering with the world’s leading technology developers and have long admired the expertise and innovation that Life Science Robotics bring to the healthcare sector.
Clinicians and patients in the UK deserve access to the very best technology, improving clinical outcomes and – most importantly – giving patients the best quality of life possible. ROBERT® helps make this happen by providing high-quality repetitive rehabilitation to the nation’s most unwell patients. We believe this technology will make a huge impact in the UK and look forward to a successful partnership with Life Science Robotics.”
Keld Thorsen, CEO of Life Science Robotics, said:
“We are thrilled to partner with Summit Medical and Scientific, a model of professionalism and expertise in the industry. The partnership with Summit Medical and Scientific marks a significant milestone for our company, having the opportunity to expand our market presence to such an important market as the UK.
Due to the current aging population and the demographic trend, the rehabilitation environment will drastically change over the next 5 years, with more pressure building each year for the nursing staff and therapists. With ROBERT®, we provide the opportunity for the clinicians to train more patients at the same time, while meeting the patients’ therapeutic goals, and thus successfully addressing the challenges in the clinical market. We are confident that this collaboration will provide remarkable outcomes for the patients and medical staff in the UK.”
