Events
It’s that time of year again – Therapy Expo is back! We’re pleased to be returning to the show at the NEC in Birmingham from the 21st – 22nd November. Find us at Stand TE40, where we will be representing our partners AMTI, Hocoma, Motek, and Myon EMG.
Whether you are looking for state-of-the-art robotic neuro rehabilitation solutions, precise force plate technology, or market-leading wireless EMG sensors, make sure you check out our stand. We look forward to meeting the physiotherapists, sports therapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths and rehabilitation specialists who will be visiting the show!
We’re excited to be demonstrating the Hocoma C-Mill VR treadmill with Mike Jones, who is a lower limb amputee and C-Mill Ambassador at the Morrello Clinic in Newport, South Wales. Mike lost his leg in a traffic collision in 2015, and has used the C-Mill VR as part of his rehabilitation therapy at the Morrello Clinic. You can read Mike’s testimonial for the C-Mill here.
About the C-Mill VR
The C-Mill VR is an augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) treadmill, which contains a force plate for accurate gait and balance analysis. The C-Mill VR is ideal for adaptability therapy in a safe and controlled environment, and has optional integrated body weight support for patients who are unable to stand unsupported. Developed by Motek and now distributed by Hocoma, the treadmill uses visual and acoustic cues projected onto the treadmill belt and displayed on the front screen, such as stepping stones, a slalom walk, or obstacle avoidance tasks. It also uses many challenging game applications and immersive virtual environments to provide motivation as they recover their stability and gait.
Can’t wait until the show to see the C-Mill VR in action? Take a look at this video:
