State-of-the-art rehabilitation technology

Hocoma and Motek products benefit patients and therapists alike, bringing safety, efficiency, excellence and innovation to clinics, centres and hospitals around the world. As world leaders of advanced technologies for movement rehabilitation, Hocoma and Motek have been at the forefront of creating pioneering devices, services and human movement therapy solutions for over 20 years.

The Andago by Hocoma is a free-moving mobile robotic device with dynamic body weight support for safe balance, stability and gait therapy. The Andago provides intensive, efficient and versatile rehabilitation, and bridges the gap between treadmill-based gait training and the patient’s ability to walk unaided overground. The mobile robotic technology senses the patient’s movement and actively follows them. The dynamic body weight support provides continuous de-weighting through the whole gait cycle, as well as sit-to-stand and balance exercises. Read more.

The Armeo®Spring Pro is the latest development in upper limb rehabilitation by Hocoma. The Armeo®Spring Pro’s customisable arm weight support, powered by patented TrueG technology, enables training of the entire movement chain from the shoulder to the hand. This adjustable exoskeleton facilitates personalised therapy with the device fully fitted to the patient’s limb, facilitating an individual set up for each patient with the therapist able to lock specific joints. Therapists can focus on selective movements and therapy goals, and patients can have more control over their movement. Patients perform a high number of repetitions of grasp and reach movements, taking their therapy to the next level. Game-like Augmented Performance Feedback and Virtual Reality exercises motivate to actively train core movement patterns that are commonly used in activities of daily living. Read more.

The C-Mill VR by Motek Medical is an innovative treadmill for the evaluation and training of impaired gait and balance. Using augmented reality, virtual reality, acoustic cues and force plate technology, the C-Mill VR is the ideal solution for effective functional movement therapy. The C-Mill VR uses targets, obstacle avoidance, dual-tasking applications, realistic virtual reality environments and a variety of challenges to train balance and gait adaptability strategies. This prepares patients for functional movement in everyday life – all within a safe and controlled environment. Read more.
