World Diabetes Day: How plantar pressure measurement can help
XSENSOR
November 14th marks World Diabetes Day, and this year’s theme is Education To Protect.
Managing diabetic feet is a challenge for health care services in the UK, and around the world.
Plantar pressure mapping technology helps screen patients for risk, assess interventions and their effectiveness, and supports the reduction of amputations from diabetes. Plantar pressure technology can integrate fully with human movement sciences, sports science and rehabilitation research, and clinical services such as prosthetics, orthotics, physiotherapy and podiatry.
We partnered with technology developer XSENSOR to bring state-of-the-art pressure mapping systems to the UK, including stance pads, walkway sensors, and in-shoe foot and gait measurement systems.
You can view all our pressure measurement systems, and other clinical biomechanics devices, on our Biomechanics Solutions page.
