Events Round Up: Therapy Expo

In November we were delighted to attend Therapy Expo, the nation’s favourite therapy event, where we represented our partners at Motek, AMTI and Myon EMG. Here we demonstrated Motek’s C-Mill VR, an innovative augmented and virtual reality treadmill which is ideal for rehabilitation for gait adaptability and balance therapy. The C-Mill comes with optional body weight support for patients who can’t stand or walk unaided. 

We also partnered with Jakko Brouwers from The Morrello Clinic to speak in the Neuro Demo Zone (pictured). Jakko is currently the Honorary Chair of the British Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN) and is one of the founders of the Wales ACPIN Regional Group.Our session was about how the C-Mill VR is being used successfully in a UK neurorehabilitation clinic, where Jakko spoke about several case studies and how C-Mill therapy has benefited his patients.

In 2017 we also attended a wide range of events including Rehab Week, Tech Con, The UK Stroke Forum, The British Geriatrics Society BritMODIS meeting and the Society for Research in Rehabilitation’s Bristol Winter Meeting.
