Reha-Stim FLOAT Body Weight Support System

Dynamic support for real-world movement.
The FLOAT is a robotic 3D body weight support system that allows for unrestrictive, multi-directional movement, empowering therapists to safely simulate real-world activities for both paediatric and adult patients.
The FLOAT provides a safe environment for patients to relearn essential self-care and daily living tasks.
An intuitive setup and streamlined workflow enable one therapist to safely manage a session that would traditionally require two or more therapists. Options such as touch displays on walls and a remote allowing the therapist to focus on the patient and not on handling the system.

Safety Features
4 Independent Cables
Four independent cables ensure a new level of stability and safety, allowing for highly accurate control over every movement.
Robotic 3D Body Weight Support
The robotic system smoothly tracks the patient’s every move, enabling versatile, multi-directional training with true freedom of movement.
Advanced Fall Protection
By constantly monitoring vertical movement, the advanced fall protection system proactively prevents falls, giving both patients and therapists greater confidence.

Interactive Virtual Reality
6 Goal-Oriented Exercises: Features a suite of engaging, task-specific exercises designed to accelerate motor learning and functional recovery.
Progressive Difficulty Levels: Therapists can select from multiple difficulty levels within each exercise, allowing them to tailor the challenge and ensure patients are always training at the optimal intensity for their current ability.
Real-Time Feedback: Provides immediate visual and auditory cues on performance to reinforce correct movements and accelerate motor learning.

Training Features
Assistive Force to Support Postural Control: The system allows horizontal forces that can be adjusted and applied at different angles for postural control, as an assistive force, and to improve movement quality in all directions.
Resistive Force for Strength and Resistance Exercises: The system’s targeted Horizontal Force and Damping, that is applied longitudinally and/or laterally and can be used to challenge neuromuscular control for effective resistance training.

Perturbation: The robotic system uses Impulses to apply controlled perturbations. These dynamic forces vary in strength, angle, and duration to safely simulate real-world balance challenges for reactive balance and stabilization.
Walking Speed and Endurance: The FLOAT’s dynamic body weight support and Horizontal Force allows to safely increase walking speed and build endurance. Built-in, validated assessments such as the 10 meter walk test and 6 minute walk test provide therapists with objective data to measure and track patient progress.
