#ThrowbackThursday: Dara Ó Briain tries out M-Gait at robotics centre

Revisit the moment in 2017 where comedian and presenter Dara Ó Briain met Professor Sethu Vijayakumar at the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics, where they are using the Motek M-Gait and Vicon mocap to help develop the Mars robot.

Here Dara found out how researchers are using advanced technology to put NASA’s space robot through her paces and help pave the way for humans to colonise Mars. Dara even had a go on the M-Gait, where they use the treadmill’s force plate technology and motion capture to help map out the robot’s movements.
